I recommend this shop to everyone! They are honest, upfront and do great work. One of the many things they have done was a complete wiring of my cars wiring harnesses that was ripped to shreds from a blown tire and it has been years since that was done and has never had an issue. And the price is always the best in town and they were fast at getting it done. And keeping me informed as they went. All the mechanics and office people are great!!

As a woman, I dread going to auto repair shops. In fact, I normally take my car to several places before deciding to fix an “issue”. However, at Advantage Automotive, I haven’t felt the need to! They not only took extra time to look at my car and explain everything but, they took me INTO the shop to show me the issues they found AND they provided me with photos before replacing any parts. Never have I been treated so well at an auto repair shop. They even got me in the next day to fix the issue. I’ll never take my car anywhere else. I have recently moved to Iowa from Las Vegas and my 1500 mile trip was a difficult one, filled with blown tires and overworked engines. But if it wasn't for Advantage Automotive and David P. taking care of me. Our tough trip could have been much worse. I required a minor repair to my engine(crank shaft sensor replacement) a repair that although not serious in town could have incapacitated my truck out on the highway. David understood and sympathized with my situation and he and the rest of the Advantage staff got me back on the road in a matter of a few hours. So if you need any services on your vehicle or minor repairs done quickly and want to be treated with honesty and receive quality service, be sure to stop in Albuquerque and visit Advantage automotive.

I've never written a google review for anything before, but I really thought Advantage Automotive deserved positive recognition. They are an exceptional autoshop who go far beyond what any normal company would do for its clients. They fixed multiple issues on my vehicle to include alternator, coolant system, radiator, multiple check engine lights, and battery in addition to normal oil changes/fluid changes.David is highly knowledgeable and fair when it comes to any questions I had. They were willing to show me in person what the issue was every time, options to resolve it, and the best financial options. I had both new and re-manufactured parts installed.David also came and pushed me out of the middle of the highway when I broke down on tramway on the way to get work done - goes to show his true character and willingness to just be a good person.James was also willing to let me bring my vehicle in 20 mins prior to close when I started having issues the day before I moved. He not only inspected my vehicle right away when I arrived, but he didn't charge me anything for it - another example of the people of character they employ here.The facility is spotless, they always answer the phone, and they resolved every problem I had. I cannot recommend them enough as the best autoshop in Albuquerque!

After getting the runaround from a competing auto service company in Albuquerque, I contacted Advantage Automotive. I was traveling from Phoenix, Arizona to St. Paul, Minnesota and my vehicle broke down about 20 miles outside of Albuquerque. David set me up with a towing company. Once my vehicle arrived at their shop, they took it right in and diagnosed the problem. It turned out to be a warped tire. They directed me to a tire company and they charged me nothing. I was very impressed and would highly recommend Advantage Auto to anyone in Albuquerque area.

MY REVIEW:One weekend morning in January 2020, my car would not start. After attempting to jump start it, I realized I needed to have it towed. I had become dissatisfied with a previous auto shop and I happened to have some time on my hands while I waited for the tow truck. I did a web search and found Advantage Automotive. It had rave reviews. I had my car towed to their lot, wrote a note about the issue, and dropped it along with my keys in their lock box. I got a call the following week from David stating that I needed a new starter. Parts plus labor would be $600. I approved the repair. The next day, I received another call from David stating that when the technician went to begin the repair work, he discovered a loose wire. He reconnected the wire and my car started! David stated that the techs had started my car about 60 or so times afterwards and it started each time. He then said that I may want to hold off replacing the starter for now since the issue may have been resolved. Wow! After already feeling confident that I found my new mechanics, I went to pick up my car and pay for the labor services incurred. David stated that they were not going to charge me anything for the little time it took to remedy the problem. He just asked that I consider returning to their shop should I encounter any other auto issues in the future. Wow, again! I am now going to be a customer of theirs for life!

I brought a town and country in with the whole wiring harness ripped apart after a tire blow out and they fixed it to perfect condition. They also kept the repair in the quoted rate, no suprises or up sales. Very clean and professional. They were polite in explaining when asked tons of questions. James at Advantage Automotive was highly recommended by my sister and brother in law, and now I know why. I was seeking pre-purchase inspection on a vehicle and was unable to take it at the time I had arranged. Later in the day, I called and David said they could get me in. They were prompt getting the inspection started and it was finished in a very timely manner. They were very thorough, knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and professional. I witnessed several transactions with other customers and would say the same for all of them. Clearly, they have many repeat customers, and make a point to address each customer by name. While they didn't perform any work at this time, they have earned my business.The only hesitation I have about leaving a stellar review is thet they may become so popular that it's hard to get in with them when I need work done!I commend the team at Advantage Automotive for running a great business in a time when mediocrity seems to be the standard.

This review is about AAs customer service. David and James (Jim? sorry if Im wrong) was a pleasure to work with, very open communication and walked me through the whole process of getting my brakes and rotors replaced. They were also kind enough to give me rides back and forth to my house when they were checking out my van. It was honestly very strange to be treated so well at a mechanic shop as Im used to impatient/over-worked/stressed know it alls. These guys are the absolute opposite.Unfortunately, I could not afford the fix and decided to take another route with my vehicle repair. Regardless, they did not charge me for any of the rides or the checks on my car. Very trustworthy shop in a sea of sketchy mechanics. I look forward to working with them in the future. Our RV quit running outside of Albuquerque. The towing company recommended this shop to take a look at it. The towing company parked our RV in front of the shop 10 PM Sunday night. First thing Monday morning we were the " out of town guests" on their doorstep. They were most gracious to the four of us.The shop is spotless, bathrooms, waiting rooms included. They fixed our RV same day, a fuel injector had failed.Professional shop, no scrimping on tool quality or diagnostic equipment.Would recommend for any level of repair.

Went in to have my dash air on my RV repaired. As James drove it into the bay he knew it was misfiring. We had just thought that was the way it ran. They got all repairs done in one day and now my Pace Arrow is humming up hills and getting better mileage then ever in the 10 years we have owned it (went from 8 mpg to 10.5 mpg on first tank of gas)James & John are extremely service oriented and went out of their way to get the job done and us out on the road.Anyone with a Workhorse Chassis should not think twice about coming here for service. We took our motor home in to have the brakes checked because they had overheated. They worked us in. James was very helpful. It was just rust on the rotor and since they did nothing, they charged us nothing. We asked a local for a recommendation on a place to take our car and they gave us this place. Great place.

I have used Advantage Automotive since 2000 for all mechanical repairs on my motor home. I have been extremely satisfied with the work performed. When additional things might be required (front end alignment, for example), it is brought to my attention. When additional items can be repaired with minimal additional cost (replace an old water pump while the radiator was being replaced) this is done without adding the R&R for the water pump to the bill. The staff are friendly and willing to answer all of my questions. Commitments are met, which is always appreciated.

I was in town for a short vacation. My tow behind vehicle was over heating and I was referred to Advantage Automotive by the local KOA camp ground. John at Advantage was very professional and helpful. We discussed my problem and he immediately began to look for the necessary parts. The expertise at this shop is invaluable. We got a flat last week and took it to Discount Tire where we were told that the tires could not be fixed because the tread on the inner sides was worn to the steel belt. The treads on the outside were fine. Our 50,000 mile tires only had 23,500 miles on them. We had gotten a front end alignment right after buying them less than 2 years ago at “the best place in town” (a different shop) for alignments. Well, John was able to diagnose the problem and I don’t think anyone else would have had the knowledge to know that my 17 year old Volvo with very low mileage had sprung its springs and was squatting! Because of age the struts had significantly worn and collapsed. And then there was the rust which meant more parts. They charged what was quoted before new small parts were found to be needed. I love these guys. Now the car just feels good to drive, it sits tall and drives smooth and straight.And it is now able to have camber, caster and toe-in which it didn’t originally have! They work on our other car too and the work has always been right on.

We thought the brake system on our Chevy 3500 was shot and were mentally prepared to spend $1500 or so to get it fixed. Advantage examined the truck and determined that the brakes were only about 50% worn so no overhaul is necessary at this time. They had the perfect chance to cheat us but did not. Marvelous!!
